Effective Date: August 23, 2026
SolveMe (“we,” “our,” or “the App”), operated by MFA Labs, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information, camera inputs, and photos are handled when you use SolveMe.
SolveMe is built with a privacy-first approach:
We do not require user registration, account creation, or login.
We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or precise geolocation.
We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
SolveMe does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, TikTok SDK, or third-party behavioral analytics tools.
To provide math problem solving and step-by-step educational analysis, SolveMe requests explicit permission to access your device’s Camera and Photo Library:
Instant / Real-Time Camera Capture: When you capture an image of a math question using the in-app camera, the visual data is captured solely for immediate text/problem extraction and AI processing.
Photo Library Selection: When you choose an existing image from your gallery, only the selected image is accessed.
User Control & No Background Access: Camera access is strictly user-initiated. SolveMe never accesses your camera, captures images, or inspects your photo library in the background or without your direct action.
No Unrelated Data: We do not read metadata (EXIF data) or access images unrelated to the specific question you submit.
When you capture or upload a math problem to SolveMe:
Transmission for Analysis: The submitted image or extracted text is transmitted securely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) to third-party AI processing infrastructure (Google Gemini API) solely to analyze the mathematical problem, generate step-by-step solutions, and provide educational explanations.
Consent: By taking a photo or selecting an image to solve, you grant explicit consent for the visual and textual data of that specific problem to be processed by the AI engine.
No AI Model Training on Personal Data: We do not use your submitted questions or private photos to train public foundational AI models.
No Persistent Server Storage: SolveMe does not store, retain, or build a server-side archive of your submitted photos or math questions once the solution has been generated and returned to your device.
If you choose to save questions, history, or exported PDF summaries, this data is stored locally on your device.
We do not sync this local history to external servers or use it for profiling or user identification.
You can permanently delete your local history at any time by clearing your history in the App or by uninstalling SolveMe.
SolveMe utilizes the following essential service to provide core functionality:
Google Gemini API: Used exclusively for real-time mathematical problem analysis, optical recognition, and solution generation. Google processes this data in accordance with applicable enterprise API terms, data privacy standards, and security protocols without using API data to train general models.
SolveMe is an educational utility suitable for students. Because SolveMe does not collect personal identifiers, track users, or require accounts, it complies with COPPA and global child privacy regulations. Users are advised to avoid capturing or submitting images that contain personal likenesses, faces, or sensitive personal information alongside math problems.
We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/SSL) to protect image and text data during transit to the AI processing service.
Revoke Permissions: You can revoke camera or photo library access at any time via your iOS device settings (Settings > SolveMe > Camera / Photos).
Data Removal: Deleting the App immediately and permanently removes all locally saved calculations, history, and generated PDFs from your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect future functional enhancements or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted within the App and on our official website with an updated Effective Date.
